Major League Baseball venues face varied reputations among fans, and a new data set places Tropicana Field at the bottom of that spectrum.
Playcasino.com analyzed Google reviews for all 30 MLB ballparks and assigned Tropicana Field the lowest average rating of 4.46 stars. The St. Petersburg venue trails Miami’s loanDepot park, which recorded a slightly higher average of 4.47 stars in the same count.
The methodology relied on the volume of one- through five-star reviews. When averages matched, the share of one-star comments determined the ranking. The data set covered ratings available as of Oct. 28.
Critics of the aging facility frequently cited its condition. In one October review, a patron stated the ballpark “falls short of the standards expected of Major League Baseball in this day and age.” Playcasino.com identified 13 negative comments since Oct. 28, 2025, that described the venue as old, dark, or run-down.
Positive feedback still exists, though it often focuses on specific aspects of the game day experience. Of 87 recent five-star reviews, 31 praised the atmosphere, while 29 highlighted the food service.
Fenway Park in Boston held the top position with an average of 4.78 stars. The gap between the leader and the last-ranked venue spans 0.32 stars in the current dataset.
