Oklahoma fans will watch the Sooners host South Carolina on Saturday, October 31. The matchup takes place at 3:15 p.m. CT at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman. This contest serves as the Sooners' homecoming game as they attempt to build on a recent road win.

Oklahoma enters the contest with a 4-3 record and a 2-2 mark in conference play. The team is seeking its first back-to-back victories of the season. South Carolina holds a 4-3 record overall and is 2-3 in the SEC. The Gamecocks arrive in Norman following wins over Florida and Tennessee.

The broadcast will air nationally on the SEC Network. Taylor Zarzour will provide play-by-play commentary, while Gene Chizik serves as the analyst. Michella Chester will report from the sideline. Viewers can stream the game via the ESPN app using a participating television provider or an eligible live TV subscription. Audio coverage is available on the Sooner Sports Radio Network.

Oklahoma's offense showed improvement in its previous game, a 23-15 win over Mississippi State in Starkville. Quarterback John Mateer completed 22 of 29 passes for 283 yards and two touchdowns without an interception. The team generated 467 total offensive yards, including 184 rushing yards. Offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle said the team must convert drives into touchdowns rather than field goals. He noted that penalties and missed assignments have hindered the unit's ability to score.

Head coach Brent Venables emphasized the need for precision in execution. He stated that the offensive staff has developed better chemistry as the season has progressed. South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer, who coached at Oklahoma from 2018 to 2020, praised the Sooners' offensive development. Beamer said the team played its best game of the season against Mississippi State. He also highlighted the return of offensive lineman Michael Fasusi, who helped establish a more effective running game.

The South Carolina offense features quarterback LaNorris Sellers, who can make plays with both his arm and legs. The Gamecocks average more than 220 rushing yards per game. Wide receiver Nyck Harbor presents a threat with his size and speed. On defense, Oklahoma must contend with edge rusher Dylan Stewart. Offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle described South Carolina's defensive front as physical, talented, and experienced. He noted the continuity within the system installed by defensive coordinator Clayton White.

Injury reports released by the SEC on Thursday list eight Oklahoma players as out for Saturday. These include wide receiver Trell Harris, offensive lineman Eddy Pierre-Louis, and linebacker Taylor Heim. Wide receiver Elijah Thomas and offensive lineman Fred Hinton are listed as doubtful. Three players, including defensive backs Peyton Bowen and Eli Bowen and offensive lineman Jake Maikkula, are questionable. South Carolina has seven players listed as out, including running back Jawarn Howell and wide receiver Jayden Sellers. The SEC will release an updated availability report on Friday night.

The two teams have met twice previously. South Carolina won 35-9 in Norman in 2024. Oklahoma responded with a 26-7 victory in Columbia last season. The all-time series is currently tied 1-1.
