Jay-Z will take the stage for the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show on February 14, 2027. The announcement came Monday from the NFL and Apple Music. The game will be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Jay-Z's Roc Nation has produced the halftime shows since 2019. The company recently signed a five-year extension to keep that role through 2029. Since taking over, the productions have featured more hip-hop and rap artists. Last year's show in Santa Clara featured Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, and Ricky Martin.

Los Angeles hosted the Super Bowl in 2022. That show featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. Other recent performers include Rihanna in 2023, Usher in 2024, and a collaboration between Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025.

Jay-Z has a long history with the NFL and several of those past performers. However, this will be his first time playing at the Super Bowl. The 25-time Grammy winner is currently touring to mark the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint.

The Jay-Z 30 Tour began with three shows at Yankee Stadium in July. He then played two dates in London and one in Paris in September. His final tour stops were October 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium. Those concerts will serve as a preview for his upcoming halftime performance at the same venue.
